My Family

We had a great weekend. Busy one too. Friday Alvin took the day off so we could go out to Rustic and set up before the predicted rain would come. I had an appt in the morning so we didn;t get out there til shortly before noon. After setting everything up, with the help of Roger and Ar putting up the screen tent, we went up to the bar for fish fry. After we got back from there our friends Mark and Cindy ( they are perm campers) came over and sat with us for a while. Later we went up to the bar cause Kevin wanted to shoot some pool with Alvin. This was about 11pm so we thought just for a little while , it was so hot and humid outside anyway. Well the bar was packed and shortly after we got there Roger and Ar and Jeff and his cousins and spouses all came in so we were there til about 1. Then we went back and went to bed. I just couldn't sleep very well at all. Heard people coming and going. ( we were out by the road) Also the humidity was so bad in the camper that compensation was building up on the roof of the camper and started dripping on me when I was trying to sleep. So at about 4:45 I decided to, go home and sleep. I knew Sat was going to be a busy day. Well Sat came and we went to meet Randy and Gail ( also perm campers at Rustic) at 11 to go out on their pontoon boat, they had invited us the day before. While out on the boat we hooked up with Roger and Ar, Jeff and Katy, Jody and Eric and Ar's brother and his family. We followed them around the chain and then parked so everyone could get out and swim. It was so much fun. Thank you again Randy and Gail. We went back in about 3 and took off back to the campground to get the fire pit going for the corn on the cob. And my children and grandchildren were coming at 4:30 for a cook out. Well the kids all got there around 4:30 - 5 and we got things ready to eat. Afterwords we all went to the pool . The kids had a blast. Even Corrisa loves the water now. Afterwords we came back to the campsite and the grand kids, me, Carie, Andrea, Mark jumped into the back of Kevin's truck. Mitch jumped into the front with Kevin and we took a tour around the campground. It was so cool showing off my grandchildren, everyone got a kick out of that. Then after the kids left about 9pm we went up to watch Kooi oke at the bar. We had given John a t- shirt from the Harley plant in York Pa ( got it when we toured the plant there) John works at the Harley Plant in Menominee Falls. He liked it and put it on during the show and announced thanks to Alvin and Monica, that was pretty cool. They sure ad some great singers that night. A couple guys I've never seen before did an awesome job. Rachel was awesome as usual. Amber Tammy's daughter is becoming quite the entertainer. She also has a beautiful voice and is getting more self confident and relaxed. Becky gave us a a couple great songs and Vicky ( Jamie Mays mom) sang he heart out too. Then of course Mark ( Cindy) did his usual song, Wonderful life.
Dave Trauger did a couple songs. Never heard him song before and he has a great voice. He dedicated one to his wife Jane. So cool. They were several others that I never heard before too. It was a very entertaining night. Even Alvin an Jamie May's dad Bob danced together..It was too funny its just a vision of whats to come at the Jamie's wedding. Even Jamie May and her dad danced a few. It was so neat to see how proud he is to be dancing with her and how she is of him.
A great father daughter relationship. Chokes ya all up seeing them dance together. Our night ended about 1:30. went back to the camper and went to bed.
Sunday it was just a relaxing day. We slowly started packing things up. It was pretty cool being able to get Internet on our site. We went over to visit Roger and Ar and they invited us for supper. Kevin took the camper home for us after we got everything packed up. After supper at Rog and Ar's we stopped by Farmers to say Goodbye and visited them for a while. We finally got home about 8:30. Unload the vechiles and went right to bed. ..So today is catchup day. Doing the dirty dishes from the camper, laundry etc etc. And I have the smiley girl Jena here today too. So its off to housework..........
